Laura Baiardi is a professional writer with extensive experience as a copywriter, ghostwriter, and proofreader. From a young age, she felt a natural calling to craft worlds through words.
She has taught Italian to foreign students, working as a language coach and L2 Italian teacher. She attended the Scuola del Fumetto (Comic Book School) in Milan and holds a degree in artistic makeup.
She is deeply interested in Artificial Intelligence and how emerging technologies are transforming the world of writing and the arts. As a film audio describer, she translates images into words for blind and visually impaired audiences.
Audio Description
Audio description means translating images into words. An audio describer is a film adapter who writes a script designed to be read by an off-screen narrator. Their role consists of describing every scene of a movie — facial expressions, physical traits of characters, settings, and actions — for the benefit of a blind or visually impaired audience.
